Tuesday, June 27
6:30 pm- Princess Contest (ages 14-18) and Queen Contest (ages 19-90) – at the BGHS Auditorium
First Night of signing of the attendance banner begins (with room for 3000 signatures!)
Wednesday, June 28
Ministerial Alliance Church Night at the performance tent
6-7 pm Children Activities/Baking Contest
7-8 pm Community Church Service
8 to Dusk- Children Activities and Family Fellowship
Thursday, June 29
5:00- 9:00 pm- Art Show for children, adults and professionals (Inside the Courthouse)
5:30- 7:30 pm- Dog Show (outside of the performance tent at the Courthouse)
7:30(?)- 8:30 pm- Brothers of the Brush beard display and competition (following the dog show- at the performance tent)
Friday, June 30
1:00- 3:00 pm- Community Band Rehearsal in BGHS Band Room
3:00- 5:00 pm- Community Choir Rehearsal in BGHS Choir Room
6:00- 9:00 pm- Two Scoops Ice Cream Social next to the Performance Tent
6:30- 7:00 pm- Community Choir Concert at the Performance Tent
7:00- 7:05 pm- Bowling Green Combined Choirs sing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame”
7:10- 7:40 pm- Community Band Concert
Saturday, July 1
7:00 am- Fun Run/Walk- Downtown to the park with the route to be announced
8:00 am- Food and commercial vendors set up Booths on the square
8:00 am- Parade line up on 7th Street next to Bowling Green High School parking lot
9:00 am- Parade-Adams-to Court- to West Centennial and Return to 7th Street
10:00- 10:20- Opening Ceremony at Performance Tent – Commissioners Raise 24 Star flag presented by DAR, VFW Rifle Salute, Taps with double eco, Hamilton Family, 3 Short BasyeSpeeches, by decendents Marjetta Hurd-Adkison, Mike Basye, and Josh Basye.
10:00 Booths Open, Boland Chevrolet 1973 and older Car and Truck Show Registration and Opening- (Corner of Church and N. Court St)
Quilt Show Opens- 2nd Baptist Church, Horseshoe Tournament- Ten- 2 person teams, (Corner of Champ Clark and Court St.- Preregisteration Required) Corn Hole Tournament-(North Side Pavement of the Courthouse), FFA Petting Zoo -(North East Side of the Courthouse.) Opening of the Antique Tractor Show Until 4:00 pm on the East Side Community State Bank parking lot
10:00 am– 5:00 pm- Cooling center and Ambulance First Aid- outside Phoenix Lodge- (South behind the Square on Court Street)
12:00- Black Powder demonstration. ( Up close, Question and answer session- Performance Tent)
1:00- 4:00 Opening of Historic Sites- Genealogy Center, Basye Cabin, Honeyshuck Home, at their locations -(People mover transportation available on Main Cross Street across from the post office)
1:00- 3:00 Folk Instrument demonstrations (Up close questions and answers) Performance Tent- Demonstrators: Judy Schmidt, Angela Maier, Dustin Hamilton, Jim Erickson, and guest artists, Starla Watts Queen and Scotty.
3:00- Howard Street Dance Group demonstrating their year end competition routines- Performance Tent
4:00- Starla and Scotty- Variety Music Show. Starla is a hometown favorite along with her partner Scotty, they are renown Lake of the Ozarks Performers.
5:00 pm to the end of the festival: Missouri National Guard Ensembles and Band, along with guest Trombone soloist Dr. Matt Frederickson. Followed by retiring of the colors, rolling thunder black powder salute, John Parcell Jr. Taps and a children, parents and community 1770 piece memorial John W. Basye Sparkler Show.
